The Black Stars of Ghana crashed out after finishing the bottom of their AFCON group two years ago, and they are in danger of doing it again, having picked up just one point from their opening two matches.
Ghana must beat Mozambique if they are to avoid a second successive group-stage exit at the Africa Cup of Nations.
A defeat to Cape Verde immediately put them under pressure, and while they twice took the lead against Egypt, they only picked up a point to leave them with significant work to do.
Victory over Mozambique in their final Group B match would leave Ghana on four points. While that is not enough to go straight through to the knockout stages, it would almost certainly qualify as one of the four best third-placed teams.
Mozambique sit bottom of the group but level on points with Ghana, and know they still have hope of reaching the last-16 for the first time.
