Hearts of Oak striker, Kwadwo Obeng jr and the clubs have clashed over contract termination.
Ghanasportspage understands that the player signed a one-year contract extension with the Phobians before the start of the season.
According to the club, the player is now surplus to requirement and that they are ready to let go of him.
Sources tell ghanasportspage that the management communicated their decision to Obeng Jnr in a meeting, but the player declined and proposed that he would be paid off. He demanded to be paid the combined salary of the remaining six months on his contract.
The management refused to agree to his proposal and instead of selling him instead. The player is currently not training with the team and has not received his salary.
Obeng Junior has fallen on the perking order and has not played more than 10 games this season.
Kwadwo Obeng Jnr on of the longest servant among the three. He joined Hearts of Oak in 2018 and played key role in the team’s League triumph in 2021.
