The initial period of the game witnessed varying outcomes, including Angolan goalkeeper Neblu being shown a red card in the 17th minute.
Despite the numerical disadvantage, Angola persistently pressured their Namibian counterparts and were eventually rewarded when Gelson Dala opened the scoring after 38 minutes of play.
In the 40th minute, Namibia were dealt with a blow when Lubeni Haukongo received his second yellow card and went for an early shower. Just two minutes later, Gelson extended the lead, allowing Angola to enter the halftime break with a comfortable two-goal advantage.
In the second half, Angola continued their dominance, adding a third goal after the half-hour mark with Mabululu’s well-taken strike, which led to their progress to the quarter-final round.
