Kumasi Asante Kotoko will play Ivorian side ASEC Memosas in the 2024 President’s Cup.
According to reports, the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) have reached an agreement with both clubs for this year’s edition of the one-off game.
The game is said to be played on March 5, 2024, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi. Reports further indicated that the game will be no gate fees charged for the fixture.
Asante Kotoko have lost the last two editions to Hearts of Oak and hope to win it this time as they host the game on their favourite ground. The last time the Reds won the trophy dates back to 2019.
The President’s Cup is an annual one-off cup match, organized by GHALCA to hounour the sitting president of Ghana.
Kotoko are the most successful club since the inception of the Cup game, winning it 8 times. Hearts of Oak have won it 6 times.
