Former Hearts of Oak Caleb Amankwah has stated that he accepted a move to Commercial aba no FC in Ethiopia due to a favourable offer.
The former WAFA defender disclosed that he had received many offers from other clubs, including Asian sides but none presented better offer than Commercial Bank FC.
Speaking with ghanasportspage, Caleb Amankwah said that he accepted the move as a result.
“Yeah it’s true I received a lot of offers but the Ethiopians team showed interest first. And looking the conditions they gave me, it was better than the others teams.”
Regarding the competitiveness of the Ethiopia. League, Amankwah, who has spent six months at the league said the league is ‘tough’ because the teams prefer to play possessive football.
The teams are very good and they play good football. They like possessive football. To me, the league is very tough and DSTV broadcast the league. So I’m happy that people could watch me on DSTV. “
Caleb Amankwah joined Commercial Bank FC in August 2023 after his contract with Hearts of Oak run out.
