Angola coach Pedro Goncalves held a tight lip regarding his interest in coaching the Black Stars of Ghana.
The Portuguese said his focus is the AFCON quarter-finals, where his team takes on Nigeria.
He, however, confirmed that his contract will run out in 2024.
“We will see, but right now, my focus is absolutely on the Friday match. I know that my contract is ending, and I’m a professional, and I must be looking for a new challenge, but I’m really focused on the next match.” He told Ghanasportspage.com.
Pedro has managed Angola’s U-17 and U-18 before taking over the senior team in 2019.
He has led them to their third quarter final appearance and will hope to progress to the semi-finals, which would be the country’s best finish in the competition.
Angola will face the Super Eagles at the Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny on Friday, February 2, 2024.
