Awards Center, a one stop sports apparel shop in Ghana, has supported National Armwrestling Team, Golden Arms, in their preparations towards their maiden participation in the African Games.
The team is currently camping at the Cape Coast Stadium in readiness for the 13th Africa Games to be held in Accra, Ghana. The Awards Center, led by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr Percy Kwesi Amuah, presented training kits to the Golden Arms.
Making the presentation at a short ceremony at the team base in Cape Coast. Mr Amuah said the presentation was in line with his company’s vision and mission of making sports kits and apparel accessible for all.
He said since this was the first time armwrestling was being played at the continental games, it was prudent for him to be part of history hence the support to the team.
Receiving the items on behalf of the team, Nii Otu Larkyne, head coach of the team, thanked Awards Center for their support and assured them utilizing the items for its intended purposes.
He mentioned that the team was in good spirit and training was going on as scheduled.
Also, present were President and Founder of the Ghana Armwrestling Federation, Mr Charles Osei Asibey together with Administrator for GAF, Mr Kenneth Odeng Adade.
A total of 24 pullers are currently in camp together with coaches Husseini Akuetteh Addy and Nii Otoo Larkyne.
Africa Games Armwrestling will be played at the Legon Cedi Hall from March 13 to 16, 2024.
