Abdul Fatawu Safiu is in a tussle with his former club Asante Kotoko after the termination of his contract.
Less than two weeks after rejoining the Kumasi-based giants, Safiu found himself without a club as Asante Kotoko cited medical reasons for their abrupt decision.
The player’s departure from Asante Kotoko marks a significant turn in his career, prompting speculation about his next move and leaving fans curious about his future endeavours in the sport.
Speaking during an interview with Ghanasportspage.com, Safiu spoke openly about the nature of his relationship with the coach and how he was blocked from training with the team.
“Coach Prosper Ogum never spoke to me or had a chat with me in camp. It was only greetings. He just asked me “How are you”. I have never had a conversation with the coach before apart from the meeting I had with them including Coach Akwasi Appiah. The coach never called me. The coach doesn’t even have my number. I can’t lie.
“I once went to the training ground but both the coach and his assistant denied me the chance to train,” Salifu disclosed.
