Former Black Stars coach Otto Addo is in line for a return to the Black Stars manager replacing Chris Hughton.
According to multiple reports, the Borussia Dortmund trainer scored the highest points during the interview and now led the race to be appointed as the new head coach.
A report by the sportsworldghana.com suggested, that Otto Addo, if appointed, will be assisted by Michael Essien and Asamoah Gyan with Adam Kwarasey, assuming the role of goalkeeper’s trainer.
The report indicates that Essien will be the first deputy while Asamoah occupies the second deputy role.
Essien currently works as an assistant manager for Denise top flight side, Nordsjaelland FC. He holds UEFA A and UEFA Elite Youth A licenses.
Whereas Gyan holds a Uefa B coaching license. The report further details that Gyan will also double as the team manager.
Kwarasey, on the other hand, is a co-founder and sporting director of FC Oslo.
The Black Stars currently have no fixtures lined up for the upcoming international break. Ghana’s next game on the schedule is 2026 World Cup qualifier against Mali in June 2024.
