Former Black Stars captain, Stephen Appiah is reportedly being considered to serve on Hearts of Oak board.
Appiah, if his appointment materializes, will serve on the board as a representative for former Hearts of Oak players.
Hearts of Oak are in course to set up a new board members which will be officially announced during the club’s Annual General Meeting (AMG) in March 2024.
According to reports, the board will consist of 11 individuals including the board chairman Togbe Afede XIV, supporters chairman Elvis Hesse Herman and 9 others.
Among the nine others on former Hearts of Oak player, a representative for Hearts Ladies, one patron and seven others of which Togbe will choose two by himself. The remaining four would be settled on at the AMGA.
Ghanasportspage understands that, the move by Togbe to dissolve the board was to honour his words.
The National Chapters Committee has already petitioned the board chairman urging him to honour his promise at the next AGM.
“We urge the Board Chairman to go by his word of retiring the already tired moribund Board and appoint fresh ones for renewed energy on the Board.”
