Four-time African champions, Ghana and AFCON 2023 finalist, Nigeria will square off in an international friendly on Friday in Morocco.
The game between the Black Stars and the Super Eagles will take place at Stade de Marrakech.
While the Super Eagles performed admirably to reach the Africa Cup of Nations championship game last month, the trophy ultimately went to the hosts, Ivory Coast.
Elsewhere, the Black Stars did not perform well in the Ivory Coast’s main event, as the team failed to reach the last 16 round.
Otto Addo’s side have been in Morocco since Monday in preparation for the two games scheduled for Friday, March 22 and Tuesday, March 26, 2024 respectively.
Ghana opened camp with thirteen players before the rest of the squad reported Tuesday evening. The players look well-conditioned and ready to fight for places in the team as Ghana begins a new era under the tutelage of the former Borussia Dortmund star.
The two friendly games will give Otto Addo the opportunity to assess his team for the forthcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in June and other future assignments.
