Nations FC head coach Kassim Mingle Ocansey has named Ghana Premier League leaders, Samartex FC as the toughest opponent he has faced this season.
The GPL debutants have faced the likes of Asante Kotoko, Accra Hearts of Oak, Aduana Stars and Medeama SC but the the former Bechem United coach cannot look beyond Samartex.
They won all their last two games against the Timber Giants, winning 2-0 in the first leg before picking a 1-0 win in Samreboi.
“FC Samartex is the toughest opponent I have faced so far. Our game in Samreboi was very tough. It was an end-to-end affair. We were on our toes throughout the 90 minutes. Both teams were trying their best to win and the competition was very high. I will say Samartex is my toughest opponent now,” he told Richmond K. Entsie on Accra-based Mothers FM.
With 11 wins, four draws, and seven losses in their maiden GPL season, Mingle’s side is determined to maintain their momentum.
As the stage is set for an exhilarating encounter, both sides will be vying for victory, with Nations FC aiming to continue their ascent up the league table and Asante Kotoko seeking redemption after a string of disappointing results.
