The Ghana Football Association has charged Asante Kotoko for misconduct during their game against Nations FC.
In a statement issued by the FA on Monday, the Porcupines were charged with a breach of GFA’s disciplinary codes.
“Asante Kotoko have been charged with a breach of section 16 of the GFA Disciplinary Code, 2019 and Section 34(6)(d) of the GFA Ghana Premier League fixture against Nations FC,” part of the statement read.
The FA has given Kotoko until Wednesday to reap to the charges.
During the game, some Kotoko fans invaded the pitch to attack the referees after he disallowed a goal for an offside.
The situation escalated as the officials were prevented from entering the dressing until the security intervened.
Asante Kotoko went on to lose the game 1-0 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, which was their fourth straight defeat in the league.
