Ghanaian football icon Asamoah Gyan has disclosed that he turned down an offer for a coaching role with the national team.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Show, Gyan, who holds a UEFA Licence B coaching qualification, shared his decision, citing timing as a crucial factor in his choice.
While expressing gratitude for the opportunity, Gyan emphasized that he believed the timing wasn’t right to accept the coaching position. However, he remained open to potential coaching opportunities with the national team in the future.
“The timing was wrong, but let us see what happens in the future,” Gyan stated during the interview, underscoring that each individual has their own approach to such opportunities.
