FC Samartex midfielder Emmanuel Keyekeh is preparing for a challenging encounter against Medeama in the upcoming Ghana Premier League fixture, poised for a fierce battle on Sunday.
The Timber giants are gearing up to host the Yellow and Mauves in matchday 24 of the domestic top-flight, anticipating a tough test on the field.
Keyekeh acknowledged the formidable nature of the Medeama side, especially considering their recent participation in continental competitions and the experience within their squad.
“Our game against Medeama will be difficult. Medeama played in Africa and can boast of experienced squad this time,” Keyekeh remarked.
Reflecting on past encounters, Keyekeh emphasized the historical competitiveness of matches against Medeama, particularly in the Western derby, but remained optimistic about securing all three points for Samartex.
“It has always been difficult whenever we play Medeama in the Western derby. It’s not going to be different from other games we played. It will be difficult and competitive but the three points will be ours,” he affirmed.
Samartex currently leads the league table with an impressive record of 13 wins, 3 draws, and 7 losses in 23 matches, amassing a total of 42 points. With only eleven games remaining in the season, every match becomes crucial for maintaining their position at the summit.
Keyekeh has scored five goals and two assists for the Timber boys in 22 appearances this season.
