Accra Great Olympics’ head coach, Jimmy Cobblah, has expressed his frustration with the match official who oversaw their week 24 fixture against Nations FC at Abrankese on Friday.
Despite putting up a spirited performance, the capital giants suffered a narrow 1-0 loss to the current league leaders in a tightly contested match in the Ghanaian Premier League.
Cobblah was visibly disappointed with the center referee’s officiating and criticized him for allegedly influencing the outcome of the game.
“It’s clear the referee came with the intention to secure a win for them. Right from the beginning, I approached the match commissioner and informed the fourth official that the referee had already shown his bias too early. The officiating today was unacceptable; the whole world has witnessed the performance of our players,” Cobblah expressed his dissatisfaction.
Following the defeat, Nations FC claimed the top spot in the league standings, while Accra Great Olympics dropped to 10th position after 24 games.
