Osman Bukari scored on his return from injury as Red Star Belgrade secured a 3-0 win over OFK Vrsac in the Serbian Super Cup quarter finals on Wednesday.
Bukari, who had been out due to injury came off the bench in the 59th minute. However, he needed just six minutes to assist Senegalese international, Cherif Ndiaye to double the lead for the hosts following Aleksandar Katai’s sixth minute strike.
In the 82nd minute, Red Star Belgrade were assured of victory when Osman Bukari scored the third goal 8 minutes from time to end OFK Vrsac’s Super Cup dream.
The goal was Bukari’s 8th goal in in all competitions this season.
His performances have been instrumental in the team’s success, having won the domestic double last season and now pushing for another title.
Elsewhere, former Asante Kotoko and Kotoku Royals star, Francis Andy Kumi also made a cameo appearance for the visitors at the Red Star Stadium.
The 25-year-old attacker, was brought on as an 80 minute substitute for Brazilian attacker, Riquelme and lasted the final 10 minutes of the game.
Andy Kumi shined despite losing 3-0 to Osman Bukari’s side. He recorded another quality outing this time as he offered more in attack.
Kumi has shown the impact he can have for Vrsac – he deserves a run in the team.
