Rwandan outfit Armee Patriotique Rwandaise Football Club (APR FC) has expressed interest in signing Asante Kotoko striker Steven Mukwala, as they aim to strengthen their squad for the upcoming CAF Champions League campaign.
Mukwala, who hails from Uganda, made the move to the Ghanaian side from his home club, Revenue Authority Football Club, and has been a standout performer for Kotoko. In his second season with the Porcupine Warriors, Mukwala’s contributions have been crucial, with 11 goals scored in his debut season and nine more in the ongoing campaign, solidifying his importance to the team despite their inconsistent performances.
With APR FC eyeing success in the continental arena, they have identified Mukwala as a potential target due to his talent and impressive goal-scoring record. The Rwandan club is also considering Simba SC forward Aubin Kramo as part of their recruitment plans.
For Mukwala, the opportunity to join APR FC could be tempting, especially considering the uncertainty surrounding his contract renewal with Kotoko and the interest from other clubs across Africa.
As APR FC gears up for their CAF Champions League campaign, the addition of players like Mukwala and Kramo could significantly strengthen their squad, enhancing their chances of making an impact on the continental stage.
