Mohammed Kudus is championing the potential recruitment of Emmanuel Danso, a defensive midfielder currently playing his trade for Norwegian club Stromgodset, by West Ham United.
The 23-year-old Ghanaian international regards Danso highly, citing him as one of the best players he has ever played alongside.
“I’ve known him for a long time, back from our days in Ghana. Emmanuel Danso is truly exceptional. He possesses all the qualities you’d want in a defensive midfielder – solid defensively, excellent passing ability, and he’s comfortable with both feet,” Kudus, who has been impressive for West Ham with 13 goals and four assists in 39 games this season, remarked.
Despite Danso’s relative obscurity, Kudus believes he has the potential to excel at a club like West Ham United.
“Trust me, once you see him play, you’ll understand why I’m recommending him. He’s a hidden gem, and I genuinely believe he could thrive in the Premier League,” Kudus emphasized during the interview.
Danso, known for his hard work and tenacious tackling, began his career with Sporting Football Club in Kasoa, Ghana. After a stint at Lyon in 2019, he moved to Stromsgodset in 2022.
Though he has made 20 appearances for Stromsgodset, Danso is yet to make a significant impact. However, at 23, he may be on the brink of a breakthrough in his career.
