The singing and clapping by the Asante Kotoko delegation to Manhyia after meeting the owner of the club was mainly an excitement being expressed for the turnaround moments of the day.
With seeming anger in his voice and questions flying all over and individuals being put on the spot to point to him what is going on in Kotoko, many feared the Kotoko owner Otumfuo Osei Tutu II was about to take a drastic decision that will distance people in Management and the technical team from the club.
Otumfuo did not spare anyone and from the coach Prosper Ogum and his team to the Ibrahim Danlad led playing body as well as administrative staff, answers were demanded and people were shaking all over.
From Danlad emphasizing the loss of confidence and the need to immediately crawl back, to the answers of Prosper Ogum that the team is going through bad times and is being worked on, and then the dramatic kneeling and rolling on the floor by equipment officer Issah Amadu whilst telling the King of the numerous issues that should be addressed in Kotoko, Otumfuo was in no mood to spare the rod and his comments after spoke volumes of his real intentions ahead.
With problems shared, solutions were identified and a final advice from Otumfuo to all to play their role well and that a further meeting will be arranged after the Samatex match on Sunday, the players and officials burst into a singing session with a resolution to turn things around for Kotoko.
Ghanasportspage.com is informed that plans are far advanced to start a new phase of the new Kotoko project which will be launched soon to consolidate Kotoko’s position as the most attractive in Ghana, spread it across Africa and build better infrastructure to depict its status.
