As the Ghana Football Association takes steps to strengthen the developmental structures for youth football development, the Association has appointed Godwin Attram as the Head Coach of the newly established U21 national team.

This strategic decision aligns with Ghana’s Football Philosophy (DNA) launched in 2023, which aims at nurturing young talent and building a culture of excellence from grassroots level to the national stage.

Attram will be assisted by Nana Yaw Amankwah while Abdul Manaf Abubakar serves as the Physiotherapist for the team.

Godwin Attram’s illustrious career, as both a player and coach, has equipped him with a wealth of experience and knowledge which he brings to the effort to re-establish Ghana as a dominant force in African Football. As a former striker for renowned clubs such as PSV Eindhoven, Silkeborg IF, and Accra Great Olympics, Attram’s journey in the beautiful game has been very fulfilling and inspiring. His deep understanding of the game coupled with his passion for developing young talent positions him favorably to lead Ghana’s U21 team to very good effect.

At the helm of Attram De Visser FC, a club he both coaches and owns, Godwin Attram has demonstrated his coaching prowess by nurturing budding talent and instilling a winning mentality within his players. His commitment to player development and tactical innovation has made him a respected figure both domestically and internationally.

With the establishment of the U21 national team, it is anticipated that Ghana would be further positioning itself for sustained success on both the continental and global stages. The integration of this team within the framework of the Ghana Football Philosophy underscores the nation’s dedication to holistic football development, focusing not only on winning matches but also on nurturing well-rounded individuals both on and off the pitch.

In his new role, Godwin Attram is poised to mentor and inspire Ghana’s brightest young talents, guiding them through their formative years and preparing them for the challenges that lie ahead.

With his blend of experience, expertise, and unwavering passion, Attram stands ready to lead Ghana’s youth towards a future filled with triumphs and glory on the global stage.
