GFA confirms the date for Asante Kotoko vs. Hearts of Oak second Super Clash of the season

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed that the highly anticipated second Super Clash of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season between Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak is set for May 26.

Scheduled as a pivotal fixture in Round 31, the game will see Asante Kotoko, the Porcupine Warriors, hosting the match at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

In an announcement, the Ghana FA stated, “The Competitions Department of the Ghana Football Association has set the date for the Premier League game between rivals Asante Kotoko SC and Accra Hearts of Oak.”

The statement continued, “The Matchday 31 fixture scheduled for the Baba Yara Sports Stadium will be played on Sunday, May 26, 2024.”

Before traveling to Kumasi for the showdown, Hearts of Oak will first face Aduana Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium on Week 30.

Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko will tackle Berekum Chelsea before their encounter with the Phobians.

With a slim two-point lead over Hearts of Oak in the Premier League standings, Asante Kotoko will be aiming for victory in the upcoming Super Clash.

Having emerged victorious earlier in the season with a 3-2 win over Hearts of Oak, the Reds are eager to maintain their dominance in this fierce rivalry.
