Mizack Afriyie scored in stoppage time as Berekum Chelsea mounted a thrilling comeback to beat Asante Kotoko 2-1 at the Golden City Park on week 30 of the Ghana Premier League.
Having fallen behind to Steven’s Mukwala’s 21st minute strike, the host snatched victory thanks to Steven Amankona equaliser and Mizack Afriyie’s last-gasp finish.
The Porcupine Warriors were in control for much of the match in the opening stages, creating most of the significant chances before Mukwala’s opener.
But the hosts replied with Amankona’s strike to make it 1-1 before halftime. The league’s top-scorer equalised after winning a penalty against goalkeeper Moise Pouaty, and Mizack netted the winner in the final minutes.
Kotoko are now level on points with 10th-place Gold Stars, while Chelsea sit 4th with 44 points.
Samuel Boadu’s side next match sees them travel to Accra to face Great Olympics on 26th May.
Kotoko play the same day, hosting Accra Hearts of Oak in a Super Clash encounter at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
