Leaders of the Ghana Premier League, FC Samartex are not planning on adding to their squad after the season despite their readiness for Africa. The team’s Communications Officer, Kwasi Abronomaa has confirmed.
Abronomaa stated in an interview that signing new players will depend on the technical team but they have the top stars who can compete in the the CAF Champions League if they win the league.
“We already have the stars who are poised and ready for Africa. Signing new players will depend on the technical team but I believe we have assembled the top stars who can perform in Africa without making any signing,” Kwasi Abronomaa told Accra-based Mothers 102.7FM.
Samartex boasts comfortable four points difference on top of the league table with five matches to end the season.
The Timber Giants have been the top team in the Ghanaian top-flight this season with 16 wins after week 29.
They will host relegation threatened Bofoakwa Tano in a crucial encounter on Sunday afternoon at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena.
