Hearts of Oak midfielder, Glid Otanga Raviere, has been included in the Republic of Congo’s squad for the upcoming games against Niger and Morocco in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The 23-year-old midfielder has finally received his first call-up to join the Red Devils. Raviere hopes to make a significant impact when given the opportunity, aiming to establish himself as a key player for the national team.
Raviere recently returned to action after an eye injury that sidelined him, causing him to miss matches against Legon Cities and Berekum Chelsea. He made his comeback in the recent match against Aduana Stars, despite the team’s painful loss.
Having made 24 league appearances this season, this national call-up will serve as a morale booster for Raviere as he prepares for the highly anticipated ‘SuperClash’ against eternal rivals Asante Kotoko this weekend.
The Republic of Congo, looking to bounce back from a 4-2 defeat to Zambia, will host Niger on June 6 and Morocco on June 11 for match-day 3 and 4 of the World Cup qualifiers.
