Next month sees the return of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in Africa and Uganda have a clash against Algeria and Botswana.
After shining for the Cranes during their international friendly with Ghana, Steven Dese Mukwala has been named in Coach Paul Joseph’s squad for their key FIFA World Cup qualifiers with the Fennec Foxes and the Zebras, Ghana Sports Page can confirm.
The 24-year old prolific attacker has been impressive this season for the Porcupine Warriors with 12 goals – just 1 goal behind the top scorer. He is now gearing up to help the Cranes qualify for the World’s prestigious tournament for the first time.
Uganda play Botswana at home on June 7th before hosting two-time African champions Algeria, which takes place three days later.
They rank fourth with 3 points in Group B after two games.
