Former Ghanaian international, Laryea Kingston has issued an apology after stepping down as head coach of the Black Starlets of Ghana few days ago.
The former Black Stars winger announced his resignation as the trainer of the Ghana U-17 national team following their 2-1 defeat to Burkina Faso in the ongoing WAFU B U-17 Tournament.
Consequently, the Ghana Football Association responded swiftly by accepting the the resignation and appointed his assistant, Jacob Nettey and Nana Agyemang to take charge of the team for today’s clash against Nigeria.
The FA indicated that Laryea’s shocking exit seemed predetermined as he had informed the players and coaching staff on his intention to step down before making it publicly.
The 43-year-old tactician has since apologised, calling for calm and progress following the announcement of his resignation.
