Head coach of Great Olympics, Orlando Wellington, is confident his team will avoid relegation at the end of the Ghana Premier League campaign.
Despite a crucial victory over Asante Kotoko on matchday 32, the Dade boys remain in the relegation zone, currently sitting 16th in the standings with 39 points. However, Wellington believes Great Olympics can still escape relegation, particularly because they have three games remaining instead of the usual two, due to an outstanding game against Dreams FC.
In a post-match interview with StarTimes, Coach Wellington expressed his optimism: “There’s a way for us to escape relegation and that’s what we are fighting for. I am very happy that we collected the three points here in Kumasi.”
Great Olympics face a challenging task against city rivals Hearts of Oak on matchday 33 of the Ghana Premier League this Sunday. They cannot afford to drop points as they continue their battle to stay in the top flight.
