Vision FC have secured a historic promotion to the Ghana Premier League for the first time in their history following a hard-fought victory against Uncle T United on Sunday.
They defeated Uncle T United 2-1 on home turf, booking their spot in the Ghanaian top-flight by winning the Division One League Zone 3 with a game to spare.
Vision FC needed a win against Uncle T United FC at the Nii Adjei Kraku Sports Complex to confirm their promotion. The triumph over the Prampram-based club sealed their elevation to the domestic top-flight, ensuring their participation in the 2024/25 season.
The team showcased a stellar performance, with talented winger Gideon Offei Ofori opening the scoring in the 41st minute. The visitors equalized on the hour mark, but substitute Frank Duku scored the match-winner seven minutes before full time, securing the crucial victory.
With one game left in the season, Vision FC leads Zone 3 with 55 points, followed by Hohoe United, who have 51 points after a 2-0 win over Susubribi United FC.
Vision FC will travel to the Eastern Region next weekend to conclude their season against the already relegated side Susubribi United FC.
