Veteran football administrator, Alhaji Grusah is unhappy by the Ghana Football Association’s decision to declare Basake Holy as champions of Zone 2 in the Access Bank Division One League.
Speaking about the declaration on Tuesday, the King Faisal bankroller said: “I haven’t seen any corrupt and foolish administration like this before. There’s no dirty football administration like this [Corrupted GFA].
“They should call me at the Ethics Committee. You will see what will happen in Ghana Football in terms of adminstration. Kurt Okrakru will run away. I am not cursing him. They are not doing it well.”
“It seems they have some selected clubs they want to promote and I think they are done with it,” Alhaji told Accra-based Mothers 102.7FM.
Basake Holy Stars have been promoted to the Ghana Premier League after winning their protest case against Sefwi All Stars.
The two Zone Two teams filed separate protests against each other, for various conducts, ostensibly to invoke the jurisdiction of the Disciplinary Committee (DC) of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to deduct points off the other.
This decision follows the committee’s findings that fans of the home team, Sefwi All-Stars, invaded the pitch, causing the game to end prematurely.
In their defence, Sefwi All-Stars claimed that the game did not end abruptly, as Basake Holy Stars (the complainant) suggested.
Instead, they maintained that the match officials managed the game smoothly until the end of the first half, and then walked to their dressing room without any issues.
