Dreams Football Club solidified their position in the Ghana Premier League for the upcoming season with a commanding 8-1 triumph over Real Tamale United (RTU) on Wednesday afternoon.
Entering the game teetering on the brink of relegation, Dreams FC rallied under the guidance of head coach Abdul Karim Zito, urging his players to fight for their survival.
The match, held at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu, initially saw RTU taking the lead with Lord Adabo’s goal just four minutes into the first half.
However, Dreams FC swiftly turned the tide, overcoming the early setback to overpower the visitors. Attacker Agyenim Boateng Mensah’s five-goal spectacle spearheaded Dreams FC’s resurgence, with Benjamin Bature contributing a brace and Ismael Dede adding another goal to seal the resounding victory.
With this decisive win, Dreams FC ascends to 11th place on the Ghana Premier League table, amassing 45 points.
Regardless of the outcome of their final league match of the season, the club secures their position in the league, avoiding relegation.
