Former Hearts of Oak star Dan Quaye insists Sunday’s matches in the Ghana Premier could be compromised for some clubs to survive relegation.
With one more game to end the campaign, the Phobians are just one point away from the drop zone and will have to beat the Hunters to maintain their status in the Ghanaian top-flight.
But Dan Quaye speaking in an interview has stated that his former club will play match of convenience before they can survive.
“There’s no truth in the Ghana Premier League. They will not go to relegation because the league is no more transparent. You can’t tell me that Bechem United can beat Hearts of Oak. The Ghana Premier League is full of corruption unlike the foreign leagues.
“How can Heart of Lions beat Medeama SC 2-0 with two penalties in Tarkwa? You have to know there’s no truth in the Ghana Premier League. Hearts of Oak will not go to relegation. It is Karela or Great Olympics who are likely to suffer relegation.
Four clubs, including Great Olympics, Hearts of Oak, Karela United, and Heart of Lions, are still at risk of relegation. All these clubs must secure victories in their final games to ensure their safety.
But the fans will be eagerly watching to see if the Phobians can avoid the drop and maintain their status in the Ghana Premier League.
