Legon Cities goalkeeper, William Esu has sadly passed away following a long-term illness.
The former Black Meteor’s shot-stopper died suddenly on Saturday evening a the UCC Hospital in Cape Coast.
Esu’s exit comes barely ten months after the club’s second-choice goalkeeper Sylvester Sackey passed away.
He joined the Roayls in October 2021 from Vision FC and went on to become the team’s first-choice goalkeeper.
His stellar performance earned him a spot in Ghana’s U-23 squad for CHAN 2023 in Algeria but failed to make the trip due to illness.
