The 2023/24 Ghana Premier League campaign has officially come to an end, with Samartex emerging as the winners of the season. The league concluded on Sunday, June 16, 2024, with several teams battling for survival and promotion.
At the end of the season, Great Olympics, Bofoakwa Tano, and Real Tamale United were relegated to the Division One League, while three teams from the Division One League – Young Apostles, Basake Holy Stars, and Vision FC – have been promoted to the elite league.
Hearts of Oak, who were fighting to avoid relegation, secured a crucial 3-2 win over Bechem United to maintain their status in the league. The Phobians came from behind to snatch the win, which ensured their survival.
Bofoakwa Tano and Real Tamale United had already suffered relegation following their unimpressive performances throughout the season. Great Olympics finished in 16th position with 44 points, while Bofoakwa Tano and RTU placed 17th and 18th respectively.
