Ghanaian Football Administrator, Emmanuel Dasoberi has refuted claims that he has resigned from Asante Kotoko as their Administrative Manager.

In an interview with Asempa FM, the former Manager of the Ghana Football Association’s Club Licensing clarified that he was permitted by the life patron of the club Otumfour Osei Tutu II before ending his relationship with the Porcupine Warriors.

“I can’t resign from a job given to me by Otumfour. I asked for permission before leaving because I want to continue elsewhere. I don’t want people to say that I resigned but I asked for permission from Otumfour Osei Tutu and his blessings so that I can leave for my new job.

“My new job will bring a lot of things to the club and Ghana. I didn’t resign but I left through Otumfour’s permission. I won’t be there forever. I will be back,’ he said.

Dasoberi, who joined the revered Ghanaian club in September 2020, has been a pivotal figure in its administrative and operational affairs.

Originally signing a three-year contract, Dasoberi’s tenure technically concluded last year.

However, his expertise and leadership were so valued that he was subsequently appointed as a member of the Interim Management Committee (IMC), overseeing administrative matters during a transitional period for the club.

Dasoberi is on a new professional journey with the Confederation of African Football (CAF), where he will join the organisation as permanent staff.

He previously served as Club Licensing Manager of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) until his resignation in September, 2020.
