In a heartfelt video message, Ugandan international, Steven Dese Mukwala has said goodbye to Asante Kotoko after failing to agree on a new contract with the club.
The 26-year-old striker leaves the Porcupines after spending two seasons with the team. During his time at Kotoko, Mukwala was the club’s top scorer in the Ghana Premier League and made 59 appearances, scoring 25 goals.
In a video shared on his social media platform, Mukwala thanked everyone associated with the club, including the King, Asantehene, for the opportunity to play for the team.
Mukwala joined Asante Kotoko in 2022 and had a successful stint with the team, but it seems that he will be moving on to new pastures.
According to reports, he will be joining Tanzanian giants Simba on a three-year contract worth over 50,000 USD.
