Head Coach of the Black Queens, Nora Hauptle, has invited 33 players to camp as the team gets set for a high-profile international women’s friendly game with Japan’s Nadeshikos in Tokyo.
This highly anticipated game is scheduled for the Kanazawa Go Go Curry Stadium on July 13 in Tokyo, Japan.
The squad will, for the first time, see the likes of Bay FC’s Princess D. Marfo, Luton FC’s defender Bridget Adu and former U17 World Cup Golden Boot winner, Mukara Abdulai, being handed their maiden call ups.
A returning quintet of Wasila Diwura Soale, Nina Norshie, Mavis Owusu, Adama Alhassan and Victoria Osei completes the list of 33 players invited to camp in Accra.
The Black Queens will be participating in the 2024 Women’s African Cup of Nations (WAFCON) and will use this high-profile game to stay in shape ahead of the tournament.
The Japanese Nadeshikos are set to also use the game to strengthen their preparation for the upcoming Paris Olympics games.
All invited players are expected to arrive at the team’s camp in Accra by Tuesday, July 2, 2024.
