Hearts of Oak have bolstered their squad with the arrival of two key players from Nations FC, Michael Awuah and Asamoah Boateng, in Accra to complete their transfers.
Defender Michael Awuah, 23, who had a standout season with Nations FC, is expected to sign a four-year deal with the ‘Phobians’ after agreeing to terms and passing a medical examination. The stalwart defender made 28 league appearances for Nations FC last season and will add depth to Hearts of Oak’s defense.
Striker Asamoah Boateng Afriyie, 26, is also in Accra to finalize his transfer, which was recommended by Hearts of Oak coach Aboubakar Ouattara after his impressive performances at Nations FC.
Boateng signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with Hearts of Oak after passing a mandatory medical examination on Monday. He scored 11 goals in 29 league appearances for Nations FC last season.
Both players are expected to join their new teammates soon and could be available for the upcoming Democracy Cup game against Asante Kotoko.
