Asante Kotoko are on the verge of completing a deal for former Great Olympics captain, Razak Kasim, as they look to strengthen their defensive midfield options.
The 30-year-old midfielder, who recently became a free agent after parting ways with Great Olympics at the end of the season, has agreed to a two-year contract with the Porcupines during the current transfer window, pending medical in Kumasi in the coming days.
Kasim, who is also a midfielder for the Black Galaxies, will be joining Kotoko on their upcoming European pre-season tour later this month.
Despite facing competition from Hearts of Oak, Asante Kotoko emerged victorious in securing the services of Kasim, who featured in 30 matches for Great Olympics in the previous season, demonstrating his talent and versatility in midfield.
With his arrival at Kotoko, Kasim aims to make a significant impact in the Ghana Premier League in the upcoming season, adding depth and experience to the team.
The signing of Razak Kasim marks the fourth addition to the Asante Kotoko squad, following the signings of Sudanese duo Esmat Abdalhamid, AbdoelKarem AbdoelRahman, Emmanuel Antwi, and Emmanuel Boahen.
