Nsoatreman FC will be making their maiden appearance in the CAF Confederation Cup, and they have been drawn to face TP Elect Sport FC of Chad in the preliminary round of the 2024/25 edition.
The Ghanaian side, who won the FA Cup title last season, will host TP Elect Sport at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi before traveling to Chad for the return leg. The first leg has been scheduled for September 13.
Nsoatreman FC secured their spot in the competition by winning the FA Cup against Bofoakwa Tano at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium. However, they will be starting their African campaign under new manager Yaw Preko, who replaced Maxwell Konadu.
Konadu, who joined Nsoatreman FC prior to the start of the 2023/24 season, has left the club to join South African lower-tier side Black Leopards on a three-year deal.
Despite this setback, Nsoatreman FC are determined to make a mark in African football and will be looking to leave a positive impression in their maiden participation in the CAF Confederation Cup.
