Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder, Glid Otanga, has joined newly-promoted Qatari side Al Kharaitiyat SC on a season-long loan deal to participate 2024/25 second division football league in Qatar.
The midfielder has become one of the league’s best midfielders since arriving in 2022, and his performance for Hearts of Oak last season attracted the attention of the Qatari club.
“Hearts of Oak midfielder, Glid Otanga has joined us on a season long loan with an option for a permanent move. ” Al Kharaitiyat SC announced.
Hearts of Oak is set to pocket about $20,000 from the deal.
The Congolese middleman made 26 appearances last season, having had more starts and provided an assist as a defensive midfielder.
Having helped Hearts of Oak win the FA Cup, his amazing performances for the Rainbows have raised this opportunity to face another challenge in his football career.
Before joining the Phobians, the 23-year-old had played Akonangui FC of Equatorial Guinea and Cameroon’s Coton Sport FC de Garoua.
