Asante Kotoko has given former Real Valladolid youth star Victor Asamoah a chance to prove his worth with a one-week trial period, the club has announced.
The 24-year-old Ghanaian forward was spotted and recommended by club legend Sarfo Gyamfi to test his abilities and see if he’s fit for the team’s project.
Asamoah, who was part of the African Talent contingent that included Mohammed Salisu, who left for Spain in 2018, will undergo his trial period this weekend before the club decides on signing him.
Asamoah, who currently plays for CD Bupolsa, has been invited to join the Porcupines for their pre-season training at the Adako Jachie Training Ground on Monday.
The team is looking to rebuild their squad ahead of the upcoming season after a disappointing finish last term, where they placed sixth.
The former Real Valladolid youth star hopes to make a strong impression during his trial period and secure a permanent deal with Asante Kotoko.
He will have the opportunity to showcase his skills and abilities to the coaches and management of the club during the one-week trial period.
