Asante Kotoko to face Arthur Football Academy in pre-season friendly

Asante Kotoko is set to kick off its pre-season campaign with a friendly match against Arthur Football Academy.

The game is scheduled for Saturday, August 3, 2024, at the Adako Jachie Training Ground with a 9:00am kickoff.

This match will provide the technical team with a crucial assessment of their preparations since setting up camp in Kumasi on July 29, 2024.

The friendly is particularly significant as it precedes Kotoko’s upcoming clash against Medeama on Friday, August 16, 2024.

This highly anticipated match will mark the grand opening and handover of the new Tarkwa and Aboso Stadium, a 12,000-seater ultra-modern facility financed by Gold Fields.

Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum is expected to use the game against Arthur Football Academy to test some of his newly recruited players and determine how best to replace those who have left the club.

This pre-season friendly is a key step in Kotoko’s preparations for the 2024/2025 Ghana Premier League season.
