FC Drita, a Kosovo-based club, has made a significant move in the transfer market by signing former Hearts of Oak midfielder Ibrahim Salifu on a three-year deal.
The 24-year-old Ghanaian midfielder has been instrumental in his previous clubs, and his new team is eager to tap into his talent.
Salifu’s journey to Europe began after failing to extend his contract with Hearts of Oak, where he spent three years and won five trophies, including the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League title.
He was also named both club and league MVP in the 2020/2021 season.
The former Techiman Eleven Wonders star has played for two clubs in the Ghana Premier League, earning a reputation as one of the best midfielders in the local scene.
His impressive performance for Hearts of Oak, where he scored two goals and provided ten assists in 32 appearances in the recently concluded season, has caught the attention of European clubs.
FC Drita welcomed Salifu with open arms, stating, “Salifu Ibrahim is our newest player.
“Our club, FC DRITA, is pleased to introduce our newest player, Ghanaian Salifu Ibrahim.”
The club also highlighted Salifu’s position as a midfielder and his experience playing for Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League.
