Asante Kotoko have started preparations for the upcoming season with a comfortable win over Arthur Football Academy on Saturday morning.
Goals from Albert Amoah, Dauda Saaka, Peter Amidu, Bernard Somuah Sarpong, AbdoelKarem AbdoelRahman Yoouef Yagoub, Victor Asamoah and Baba Yahaya saw Kotoko to massive 8-0 win against the lower division.
New signing Albert Amoah, who made a switch from Great Olympics after the 2023/24 season, registered two of the five goals in his first game for his new club.
Former Bofoakwa Tano midfielder, Dauda Saaka also claimed a goal for Prosper Ogum’s side, adding to Peter Amidu and Baba Yahaya’s goals to hand Kotoko and an easy win.
The game also forms part of Kotoko’s preparations for their upcoming game against Medeama Sporting Club.
This titanic clash, scheduled for Friday, August 16, 2024 will serve as the official inauguration of the newly constructed TNA Stadium, which boasts a seating capacity of 10,400 and is equipped with modern amenities.

Goalkeeper Frederick Asare maintained his spot with another top class performance. Congolese defender Samba Oneil, won won the MVP during the Democracy Cup against Hearts of Oak received the greenlight to the defense alongside Esmat Abdalhamid, Emmanuel Kotei and Joseph Ablorh.
Baba Yahaya, Ntim Manu and Emmanuel Antwi received a starting berth in midfield, with Peter Amidu, Saaka Dauda and Albert Amoah operating upfront.
