Former Asante Kotoko and Kotoku Royals striker, Francis Andy Kumi is expected to make a return into the Ghana Premier League after parting ways with Serbia side, OFK Vrsac.
The prolific attacker and Accra Hearts of Oak are in advanced talks over a possible move in the ongoing transfer, Ghanasportspage can confirm.
It is understood that the Rainbows are hoping to strengthen their striking department for the 2023/24 season, having struggled in the previous campaign.
As a result, the management have contacted the former Asante Kotoko striker, who spent the 2023/24 season in Serbia.
Andy Kumi joined FK Radnički Niš, on a long-term deal after shining with Oda-based Kotoku Royals but later moved to OFK Vrsac due to playing time.
However, The 24-year-old was on the verge of joining a Polish side following his exit from the Serbian First League but he appears to have failed to make the trip due to visa problems.
Kumi, despite his side being relegated from Ghana’s top flight, had a great season and ended the campaign as the club’s top scorer.
The player formerly featured for Asante Kotoko before his move to the Royals.
