Former Ghana Premier League champions, Hearts of Oak has announced the appointment of Nana Yaw Amankwah as their new assistant coach.
Amankwah, who joins from Medeama, where he served as an assistant coach, brings a wealth of experience and tactical know-how to the Phobians.
In his time at Medeama, Amankwah was instrumental in their Ghana Premier League triumph and played a significant role in their historic debut in the CAF Champions League group stages.
His track record of success at the highest level of Ghanaian football is expected to complement the vision of head coach Aboubakar Ouattara, who remains focused on steering Hearts of Oak back to the top.
The club’s management expressed their excitement about the appointment, stating, “We are thrilled to introduce Nana Yaw Amankwah as our new assistant coach. Looking forward to his expertise and the positive energy he brings to our team.”
After a disappointing season that saw them narrowly avoid relegation, Hearts of Oak are eager for a fresh start.
Adding Amankwah to the coaching staff reflects their commitment to improving performance and reclaiming their status as one of Ghana’s football powerhouses.
