Asante Kotoko winger, Peter Amidu Acquah, has been called up to the Ghana U-20 national team ahead of the upcoming WAFU Zone B Championship.
Coach Desmond Offei announced a provisional squad of 35 players to begin camp, drawing from the Africa Games squad, the team that recently toured Europe, and other standout players, including two who competed in the WAFU Zone B Under-17 Championship in Accra.
Amidu Acquah’s impressive season with the Porcupine Warriors, where he played a pivotal role in securing a sixth-place finish, earned him this national invitation.
The talented winger featured in 29 matches in his debut season with Kotoko, netting four goals, which contributed to his selection for the U-20 squad.
The players have been asked to report to the GFA’s Technical Centre, the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence, for the first phase of preparations, which began on Sunday, August 11.
