“I will bring back Division One League to Amasaman” – Yahya Kassim Atta vows

In a bid to revive sports at Amasaman, the parliamentary candidate for the New Patriotic Party, Yahya Kassim Atta has promised to bring back a Division League slot to the constituency when voted into power.

Bright Future Football Club remains the last club in the district to have competed in the Ghana Division One League after winning the Eastern Regional Second Division League and the Middle League in 2008.

In an interview with Mothers FM on Tuesday, Hon. Yahya Kassim Atta disclosed his love for sports and pledged to bring back a Division One League to his constituency.

“I will plead with Amasaman and assure them a Divison One League slot when voted as MP. Amasaman will get a Division League slot back inshallaah because our own Bright Future FC is no where to be found. I will plead with them to get a visionary leader and who has football at heart. They should just push me to the Parliament and I promise them of a Division One League slot”. he noted.

In addition, KAS, as affectionately called vowed to construct an untramodern AstroTurf for his constituents.

“For the Astroturf, I have already promised them. I am a creative leader, I will construct my own for the community and lobby for another one from the government because God has blessed me with the lobbing skills. We will get about two AstroTurf from the government before mine which will makes it three”. he added.
