Asante Kotoko has made a move to sign creative midfielder Godfred Abban from Medeama SC, Ghanasportspage.com can exclusively reveal.
The 23-year-old central midfielder has been impressive for Medeama, and his form has caught the attention of Kotoko coach, Prosper Ogum. The Porcupines are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of the upcoming season and Abban’s skills could be a valuable addition.
Abban has been a key player for Medeama, scoring two goals and providing five assists in 19 matches last season. His impressive stats have made him a target for Kotoko, who missed out on Rwandan international Patrick Sibomana.
However, it remains to be seen whether Medeama will be willing to let go of Abban, who has eight months left on his contract.
The midfielder joined Medeama from Asokwa Deportivo before the start of the 2020-2021 Ghana football season.
